The Lavagem da Rua 46 / Cleansing of 46th Street is Brazilian Cultural Parade & Festival, a sacred tradition, It’s a metaphor for life’s journey, will celebrate the purification reflecting the different paths of song, music, dancing several culture manifestations of some Brazilian states, they interpret native rhythms, it calls the attention of a multicultural public, anxious to enjoy good music and have a chance to interact with Brazilians, the Caribbean, and Latin American communities involved, including Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Our Advice

As a tradition, it has been carried on 46th Street known as Little Brazil, but this year by conflicts of dates, it will take place at Damrosch Park Bandshell at Lincoln Center as part of Lincoln outdoors Festival.
